Further a field then head for Portimao a large town situated on the Arade river that leads to the Algarve coast opposite the famous Praia da Rocha beach resort. Portimao is famous for its fish restaurants and has a large number of events each year from Motor Racing to Festivals. There are many boat trips that will take you from Silves to Portimao if you prefer not to drive. There is even a ferry service to the Portuguese island of Madeira from here.
After a busy day out, everyone will be able to unwind back at the villa, the villa is spacious in all the right places and very well laid out, so your time here even as a couple will be stress free.
